Barmedman Commoners Role opportunity

The department is seeking applications by expression of interest (EOI) for land managers to join the Commoners Role on Crown land at Barmedman Common. A Common is Crown land set aside for people who reside within a specific town boundary to undertake small scale agricultural or land conservation pursuits.

The Barmedman Common is situated on the corner of Parkes Street and Williams Crossing Road, Barmedman being 7011 and 7016 - 7017//1031203 with an approximate area of 36.5 Ha, in the Local Government area of Bland shire, Wiradjuri Country, Parish of Mandamah, County of Bland. 

How to apply

Residents within the Commoners Boundary of the Village of Barmedman interested in this opportunity are invited to submit a proposal. All applications will be considered in regulation with the Commons Management Act 1989 and Commons Management Regulations 2018.

•    Copy of a driver’s licence or NSW Photo Card 
•    Summary of your intent to use the Common

Applications close 9 May 2024 at 5 pm (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

Note: All applications are considered on requirements under the legislated eligibility criteria. Please advise the EOI information package for these requirements. A number of factors are considered prior to a determination being made on which method of allocation to use. No guarantee can be given as to the outcome of any applications. Successful applicants may be required to pay a small fee of $50 to join the Commoners Role.
