Order a Search on the status of Crown land online

Use this form to search for current tenure, road or historical land status.

Before you apply

  1. You will be required to provide a unique individual reference. This reference will be included on your invoice and will assist you in reconciling the search fee to the lands being investigated.
  2. Use the free ePlanning Spatial Viewer to check that the land is Crown land.
  3. Prepare any supporting documents you may have to support your online application form.

Supporting documentation

Diagrams identifying the Crown land, such as:

  • Crown Plans
  • Deposited Plans 
  • Maps
  • Aerial photography
  • Any pertinent correspondence to support your application.

You must provide a download link if the file size is greater than 30 Mb. (Provide a direct download link from a cloud service such as Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive.)

Application fee

For search applications, you will be invoiced for the fee once your application is checked and accepted.

Payment in full is required prior to commencement of the investigation.

Crown Lands only conducts searches on Crown land or if your query relates to a current or historical Crown land action. If your request does not satisfy these parameters, you will be advised accordingly. You may prefer to contact a private search provider in the first instance.
