Objecting to a market rent redetermination

Before you apply

This form is only to be used for objections to market rental redeterminations. It is not to be used to object to the removal of any rental rebate, waiver or concession.

  1. This form is only to be used for objections to market rental redeterminations. It is not to be used to object to the removal of any rental rebate, waiver or concession.
  2. Objections will not be accepted for the following reasons:
    • If you require financial assistance to pay your rent, or if the land has been impacted by natural disaster e.g., drought, floods, bushfires
    • If you would like to enquire about:
      • terminating your tenure if it’s no longer required
      • decreasing the size of the tenure to reduce your rent amount
      • purchasing the land
  3. We are unable to reduce the rent if the rent amount is at the minimum annual rent – refer to the website for the minimum annual rent amounts.
  4. Locate your Notice of Redetermination of Rent and review the Last Date to Object noted on the Notice.

Prepare the supporting documents you may have to support your objection

Supporting documentation

  • A market rental valuation report from a Certified Valuer, if applicable.
  • Any other documentation that supports your objection application.
