The department manages Crown road sales under section 152B of the Roads Act 1993. On 1 December 2021, the department ceased publishing notification of Crown road disposals in the NSW Government Gazette.
In accordance with section 152H of the Act, the road comprised therein has ceased to be a Crown road and the rights of passage and access that previously existed in relation to the road are extinguished.
The department also manages Crown road closures under section 37 of the Roads Act 1993. In accordance with section 37 of the Act, Crown road closures continue to be published in the NSW Government Gazette.
