Remediation works on Crown land
Crown land 2031 State Strategic Plan (PDF 3,78KB) vision for NSW is that our community has high aspirations to protect environmental assets, improve and expand green space, and build resilience to climate change. To help achieve these outcomes, it is our role to ensure that environmental values on Crown land are identified, enhanced, and protected, and that activities on Crown land contribute to climate resilience.
It is our goal to remediate identified Crown land sites and to return these sites to usable community land. Contamination may threaten human health and the environment, limit land use or increase development costs and it can become more challenging to address if left unmanaged. For all these reasons, we must take steps to find out if contamination is present and identify actions to help reduce risks of harm to human health and the environment.
