Do you need more time to pay your account?
Options that may be available are:
- payment plans, where you make repayments over a specified period
- payment extension, where you agree to pay at a later date.
Billing frequency changes
You can request a change to the billing frequency for your rent. You may wish to pay quarterly rather than annually.
A billing frequency change request application should be submitted at least 8 weeks before the notice due date.
Rebates and waivers
Rebates or waivers from rent may be available for individuals and organisations who meet certain criteria.

The community groups rebate supports organisations that provide services or facilities for the general community or their members or users.
A local council whose holdings are used to provide facilities or services for the benefit of the general community – with no fee or a token fee – may be entitled to a rebate on rent.

If you’re an eligible pensioner who occupies your holding as your sole place of residence (or as an adjunct to it) and your holding is not used for any commercial purpose, you can apply for a rent rebate.
The registered clubs rebate gives a financial concession to clubs that are registered under the Registered Clubs Act 1976 and fall within the revenue thresholds.
We’ve adopted recommendations made by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal on rebates for specified user groups that occupy communication sites on Crown land.
Rural western lands leases – rehabilitation
If you’re rehabilitating your rural western lands leasehold, you may be eligible to receive a rebate on your rent.

If your local government area has been declared a natural disaster zone, you may be eligible for targeted recovery support. Check if your area is in a declared natural disaster.
