Apply for a water boundary determination (tidal)
Tidal waterways, like oceans, rivers, harbours and inlets, adjoin property across NSW. The beds of most tidal waters include Crown land. If the land below the Mean High Water Mark (MHWM) is Crown land, you need approval from the Minister administering the Crown Lands Management Act 2016.

Apply for a water boundary determination (non–tidal)
Non-tidal waterways, including rivers, creeks, and lakes, adjoin property across NSW. Many non-tidal waterbodies are Crown land.

Apply for adjoining landowner's consent (non–waterway) including landward boundary approvals
When you do a boundary survey next to Crown land or a Crown road, you might need to get consent from the adjoining owner. Sometimes, the law or NSW Land Registry Services (LRS) requires us to approve or consent to the boundaries on plans you want to register with LRS.

Apply for other boundary determinations (non-waterways)
Boundary determinations for non-waterway areas in Crown land in NSW involve several key steps and considerations.
