Protection and management
We are primarily responsible for the direct management of land, assets and infrastructure, property management services and the oversight of a network of professional and volunteer managers.

Environmental management
We are responsible for management of natural assets on Crown land in NSW. These include areas of high ecological value, cultural and historical heritage, recreational value, and areas with high aesthetic and scenic values.

Protecting and enhancing Crown land is essential for business, tourism, recreation, wellbeing and biodiversity of the state.

Aboriginal land rights and native title
Aboriginal land rights refer to the system of legal rights created by the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983.

Apply for or manage a licence
A licence over Crown land is a contractual agreement that grants the licencee (holder of a licence) a personal right to occupy and use Crown land for a particular purpose.

Apply for a Grazing licence
Grazing licences are issued to individuals, businesses, and community organisations to graze livestock on suitable land.
