Find out the essential steps to take if you are a Crown land lease or licence holder and need to manage flood risks and damage in accordance with your tenure.

For licence and lease holders

If you hold a Crown land lease, licence, or permit, ensure that all properties are vacated if flood damage has made buildings or structures unsafe. Vacate immediately and ensure no one can enter until deemed safe. Follow the advice and instructions from emergency services during a flood warning or evacuation.

Review your insurance and your tenure documents. Financial assistance options, such as pausing payment obligations or setting up payment instalments, may be available for those facing challenges due to recent flooding.

Financial assistance

To assist those on Crown land, financial disaster recovery grants and funding support may be available. For NSW Government grant funding information, visit recovering from a natural disaster.

For Crown land managers

Ensure that all properties are vacated if flood damage has made buildings or structures unsafe. Follow the advice and instructions from emergency services during a flood warning or evacuation. Emergency management guidance is available to help Crown land managers prepare and respond to emergency situations.

In an emergency, always phone 000 first.
