Community groups rebate online application

Before you apply

  1. This application must be submitted by a person authorised to apply on behalf of the Community Group.
  2. Please read the guideline to ensure you meet the criteria to be eligible for a rebate – Guideline - Crown land financial concessions (PDF, 529 KB)
  3. Prepare the supporting documents you may have to submit with your online application form.

Supporting documentation

  • Evidence of registration with Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, or
  • Incorporation under the Associations Incorporations Act 2009, or
  • Authority under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991
  • Evidence of the purpose, operations and constitution of the organisation

Community groups rebate application







Community volunteer service groups
Organisations or groups whose primary purpose is to provide services or facilities which are of benefit to the welfare of the general community, use the holding for that purpose, and are largely supported by volunteers may be eligible for a rent rebate to the statutory minimum rent.
Single interest or sporting groups
Organisations or groups whose primary purpose is to provide services or facilities for their members or users, rather than for the general community, and use the holding for that purpose, may be eligible for a 50% rebate on rent.

You will be required to upload a copy of your registration with Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission at the end of this application. 
Supporting documentation is required
You will be required to upload a copy of your Incorporation under the Associations Incorporations Act 2009 at the end of this application. 
Supporting documentation is required
You will be required to upload a copy of your Authority under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 at the end of this application.
Your application cannot be accepted

You are not eligible for a Community Group Rebate.

An eligibility requirement for a community group rebate is to demonstrate you are largely supported by volunteers. Organisations are ineligible for a rebate if they cannot supply evidence to support this.
