A leaseholder(s) can make an application to surrender their existing lease.
The reason(s) for the application will need to be detailed and evidenced in order to allow the minister to consider the request.
Each application is considered on merit and individual circumstances taken into consideration.
Only the registered leaseholder(s) can apply, and the application form must be signed by all holders and any other party that holds a registered interest in the lease.
Where an existing leaseholder makes an application for a new lease, surrender of their existing lease (where lease term remains) will be required. The surrender will be managed as part of the new lease application process.
