Crown land is spiritually, socially, culturally and economically important to the Aboriginal people of NSW. There are various legal mechanisms in place to protect places and objects of heritage significance to Aboriginal people. There are also mechanisms to give Aboriginal people access or title to Crown land in certain circumstances.
