What’s happening at the site

Crown Lands is considering the lease of Crown land, which extends over the waterway, by direct negotiation, to the existing tenant.

Part of the land is currently held under lease by the existing tenant (shown by blue outlined area in the above diagram) which operates the site as a commercial marina.

The tenant, The Quays Marina, proposes to expand the marina footprint (in the area shown by red shading above) for a development that includes a new marina arm with fixed berths.

Community feedback on the proposed new lease

Before any decision is made that changes the use of this area, Crown Lands invites community feedback on the proposed new lease.

We are seeking your feedback on impacts of the expanded lease area, including on your use and enjoyment of the Crown land.

To make a comment or a submission regarding the new lease over the expanded area, please follow the instructions under Have your say, below.

Development process

The Quays Marina, Crown Lands’s tenant, is also seeking planning approval via a development application (DA) to Northern Beaches Council for the proposed expansion of the marina.

While the Crown Land lease would enable the proposed development, the lease and Council approval of the development itself are 2 separate matters.

To make a comment or a submission regarding the proposed development, visit Northern Beaches Council Applications.
