Draft Crown Land Assessment at Walgett

Parish of Walgett, County of Denham

The Department of Lands has prepared a draft Crown land assessment for Crown land at Walgett to determine future use and management options.The study area is located 5km to the north-east of Walgett at the intersection of the Castlereagh and Kamilaroi Highways and is comprised of 250 ha Crown land that is part Travelling Stock Reserve and part area leased for various purposes.

The aim of the draft assessment is to provide the basis for sound land use allocation and management decisions for Crown lands.Consultation has a fundamental role to play in facilitating effective decision making.

Submissions are invited on the draft assessment and should be made in writing within the public exhibition period.
